Birthing babies, dealing with menstruation, menopause, receiving heart break one after another, how do we do it and still smile? Strength. Strength beyond the mere physical and often unnoticed by our counterparts. Strength that sets a foundation. Strength that play roles of both Mom and Dad without missing a beat. Strength that keeps us motivated amidst all of our emotions. Strength that sometimes because of its known power keeps us silent. Strength that speaks through tears. Strength so delicately handled by none other than woman.
Life has a way of attempting to destroy us with every insult, degradative, demotion, etc. It’s easy to fall into weakness with society’s antics of how we should act, what we should say, how much we should be getting paid, etc. The key is to recognize, acknowledge and accept our worth. We are beautiful. As women we often let our emotions cloud our way of thinking, which if not handled properly can slowly eat away at our self-confidence. A weak mind inhibits weak decisions thus weak actions. We can continue to strengthen our minds through education, experience, meditation and a healthy view of who we are. Tell yourself you are lovable, gorgeous, unstoppable or whatever it is that you think you are, positively, and let that overshadow weak thoughts.
The natural embedded remnants of strength are a sharp reminder to stay on track. Never sway. When we think we are down, strength has a funny way of rearing its dependent head. Imperative it is for us to remain strong in the wake of what’s to come. Keep your head up, you got this!
